INTE 90003A
The course includes classroom sessions alternating with field (or virtual) company visits and with guest lecturers. The group acquires a concrete experience of the business environment of the region visited by meetings with executives of local or multinational companies as well as representatives of government and NGOs. On the last day of the course, students participate in a learning integration session that highlights the development of their learning. Students are exposed in concrete ways to many issues of international business, such as industrial clusters, global value chains, and the role of multinational firms. They will observe the strategies deployed by organizations and regions to take advantage of globalization while promoting the principles of sustainable development. Institutional participation fees as well as travel costs could be associated with this course.
