Moreover, it will provide the student with a realistic and relevant experience with simulations conducted in the markets room. The objective is to give the student an initial and applied understanding of stock and bond markets. In addition to studying the principles of the functioning of stock and bond markets, the student will complete simulations in a markets room context to gain a realistic and relevant experience of the functioning of markets. The course is meant for students curious better understand market finance, how it can be understood in the context of the firm, how fundamental financial instruments are traded and priced, and how this knowledge can be applied in their personal context. Course evaluation consists in a quiz, 2 simulations (teams of 2 students), as well as a final examination.
