Literature Reviews and Knowledge Synthesis

This seminar is intended for doctoral students in the fields of management, strategy, human resources, organizational development, marketing, information systems, entrepreneurship, innovation management, international business, and logistics and operations management, who are interested in broadening their knowledge of research synthesis methods and in receiving formal training in how to conduct and evaluate literature reviews. It complements a number of research methods (quantitative and qualitative) and theory building seminars currently offered in the joint doctoral program. Indeed, although literature reviews are important in research methods and theory building courses, they are not their primary object of study, as they are in this seminar.
