Theories of the Multinational Organization

INTE 80011A
By multinational organization, we mean any organization whose activities cross national borders regardless of its motivations or purpose (for profit, as in the case for multinational corporations, or not for profit, as in the case of NGOs, transnational networks, or international organizations). Each class will present one perspective and cover different theories and related topics that apply to this perspective. Please note that some topics (e.g., cross-cultural management, managing diversity, creativity) do not have their own session: these are recurring themes that should be part of an ongoing conversation about what is the multinational organization and what are the challenges it faces.
