Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
1. Discuss with accounting and financial managers within various organizations;
2. Use the information they produce, including financial statements and financial ratios, to make assessments and decisions;
3. Discuss the issues underlying financial reporting.
As a result of the various lecture sessions, team work and quizzes, students will be able to understand and use financial statement information and calculate and interpret financial ratios. They will be able to understand the role played by financial information in corporate governance.
