Business process management

Business process management (BPM) consists of achieving the strategy and business objectives of the organization by improving efficiency and effectiveness as well as by the management and control of business processes contributing to the creation of value by the organization. At the end of the course, students will be able to: explain what BPM is and how it differs from other approaches aimed at improving organizational performance; identify the strategy and business needs behind a business process transformation project within the organization; identify the appropriate IT to achieve the transformation of business processes; assess a business process transformation project and understand the issues and risks associated with the conduct of such initiatives within the organization.
