TECH 20712A
Databases are an essential element of information systems. The information necessary for the operations and management of the company is obtained from the data describing the company's daily activities. This same data will later be transferred into data warehouses to allow managers and functional analysts to use business intelligence technologies and carry out in-depth analyses. The course will discuss performance issues and database administration. Students will become familiar with the use of professional tools used in the implementation of databases and with the development of applications, using the SQL language.
