Leading Successful Teams

An important number of companies are now choosing a work organization mode based on team. In these companies, teams are expected have a leveraging effect on performance and organizational innovation. Yet, team effectiveness is not always a given. For teams to be successful, an organization's executives, management, and actual team members must have skills in team leadership and teamwork. The Conference Board of Canada says these skills are essential for entering, staying, and advancing in the work environment. The course Leading Successful Teams is designed to support managers and future managers in developing these skills with a view to individual and team success.

1. The criteria and conditions for work team effectiveness
2. Specific issues to the management and functioning of different types of teams (e.g. virtual teams project teams cross-functional teams diversified teams management teams)
3. Development and cooperation in teams
4. Preventing disfunction and negative team phenomena
5. Balancing individual differences and managing oneself as a team member or manager
