In this course, we cover some of the major current themes in macroeconomics as well as the relevant trends to keep an eye on going forward, from the performance of emerging economies to the economic outlook of Quebec and Canada. Our analysis covers topics that are of particular relevance to managers, such as the evolution of labor markets, the forces shaping international trade, the role and consequences of monetary policy, or the drivers of economic growth across countries, among many. Our approach is resolutely applied: it is non-technical and relies heavily on current events, with the objective of providing managers with a big-picture view of the macroeconomic environment their organizations evolve in and equip them with the tools necessary to follow its evolution in real time.
