This course explores the behaviour of firms and industries from a geographical perspective, examining how location and spatial dynamics impact the development and strategies of organizations. We analyze the influence of territorial, industrial and institutional contexts, and how these distinct contexts shape the variegated global economic landscape. The main themes that will be covered in this course include the evolution of industrial structures over time and space, firm strategies in different industrial and territorial contexts, how firms and territories adapt to new global challenges, and the uneven integration of regions in the global economy. Empirical cases are studied in a comparative perspective from different industries and geographical contexts.
