Stakeholder Perspectives in International Business

INTE 60001A
We will examine the major challenges posed by international business and global value chains by looking at the different perspectives from which different stakeholders face them. We will explore (i) critically the role of multinational corporations in today's global economy, (ii) the grand challenges raised in the Sustainable Development Goals which encompass facets of the economic, environmental, and social effects of trade international in modern society, and (iii) the different solutions proposed by the different stakeholders to face these challenges. The course aims to prepare future sustainable leaders in international trade and global value chains to deal with real-world complexity and grand challenges; it aims to help them find solutions proactively, considering the perspectives of multiple stakeholders.
