Supply Chain Management: Fundamentals and Trends

This course focuses on: 1) the main concepts underlying different forms of deployment and management of supply chains (SCs); 2) the factors and trends influencing the evolution of SC management for different sectors of activities (for-profit and non-profit); 3) the barriers and opportunities associated with the implementation of integrated SCs; and 4) the different strategies and approaches being adopted by the most successful organizations. Specifically, this course presents: - the key elements inherent in the integrated supply chain management, as well as the main concepts and their evolution over time; - the challenges and benefits associated with the implementation of integrated management; - the evolution of technologies facilitating information exchange and processing to support supply chain management (current and upcoming trends); - the applications of supply chain concepts adapted for the service and social-good sectors.
