The GMAT Admission Test

You are strongly encouraged to start preparing for the GMAT several weeks before the test date. For information, refer to the official GMAT site.

The following reference can help you prepare for the test:

You are encouraged to register for the test several weeks before the admission application deadline. For information on registration and associated fees, refer to the official GMAT site.

The GMAT is offered online and at designated test centres. It cannot be taken at HEC Montréal.

Test score is considered an important part of your application for the Master’s Degrees, MBA and PhD.

MBA: The evaluation of your application includes not only your test score, but also other elements such as your transcripts. That said, a score in the fiftieth percentile (or higher) in all sections of the test could strengthen your application.

Transmission

You are responsible for submitting a copy of your official GMAT score in HEC en ligne > Documents > Documents Upload, no later than the admission application deadline. This copy is sufficient for the application process.

If admitted into the program, you must follow the procedure which allows HEC Montréal to verify you score in the GMAT online portal. The codes used for HEC Montréal are as follows:

• PhD: OBB-12-40
• MBA Part-time: OBB-12-18
• MBA Full-time: OBB-12-60
• MSc: OBB-12-92

Validity

Your test score is valid for five years starting from the date you took the test.
