Letter of invitation for a research stay

The invitation letter is presented as a form. Here's the complete process.

Step 1: Submit a request

The candidate :

  1. Fills in his/her part of the form.
  2. Receives an e-mail - to the address indicated on the form - notifying him/her that the request has been sent.

Step 2: Respond to the request

The teacher :

  1. Receives an e-mail - at the address indicated on the form - asking him/her to complete his/her part of the form.
  2. Accepts or rejects the request, or returns it for modifications.
  3. Fills in and signs the form describing the conditions of the stay if the request is accepted.

If there is co-supervision, the step is repeated for the person(s) co-supervising.

Step 3: Follow up on the request

If the request is accepted

The candidate:

  1. Receives an e-mail asking him/her to sign the invitation.
  2. Accesses the form via the link received by e-mail and enters the unique password.
  3. Signs the invitation.

The invitation letter is then e-mailed to both parties, in PDF format, and must be submitted by the candidate along with the other documents required for admission.

If the request is rejected

The candidate receives an e-mail informing him or her of the reason for refusal.

If the request is returned for modifications

The candidate:

  1. Receives an e-mail informing him/her of the changes to be made.
  2. Accesses the form via the link received by e-mail and enters the unique password.
  3. Modifies the application.
  4. Receives an e-mail informing him/her that the invitation request has been returned to the teacher (back to step 2).
